The crackleback was created by Ed Story of Feathercraft, in 1952. Insanely versatile pattern can be fished dry, wet, and like a streamer. Works great as an attractor on a double dropper setup, even tightlining. Not just for trout, you can also hook into some bluegill and bass. 4 to 7x tippet and tapered leader for trout and panfish is a good idea. Running it like a streamer for bass you can straight line some 5 to 15 lb test.
