Created by Barry Ord Clark to imitate the Blue Wing Olive Nymph. A stellar go to nymph. It lands trout just about everywhere most of the year. The best time is when the Blue Wing Olives are hatching. With a little lead weight, peacock hurl (a trout favorite) and a bead, it's an excellent choice for moderate to fast water. The Blue Wing Olive Nymph can be used by itself under an indicator, or my favorite, a double dropper setup as the second dropper chasing a Hoots River Juan. 5X to 7X tapered leader and tippet are excellent choices.
